North Cyprus 2013 Stamp Issues News.

We now have the preliminary issues list for Turkish Cypriot (north Cyprus) stamps for the coming year.

There will be six (6) issues between March and November 2013.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer pre-issue orders for north Cyprus stamps as we do not regularly visit the north but do aim to go through the UN controlled buffer zone at least twice each year.


On 12 March 2013:
1) "People Who Served the Turkish Cypriot Community"

On 18 April 2013:
2) "Prevention of Traffic Accidents (Competition)"

On 6 May 2013:
3) "Europa stamp 2013 (Post Office Vehicles)"

On 8 July 2013:
4) "Flora and Fauna"

On 10 September 2013:
5) "Islamic Arts and Culture"

On 20 November 2013:
6) "Anniversaries and Events"

The list may be subject to change and where we are aware of this we will update the Stamp Issues Calendar page and the North Cyprus stamp listings  accordingly.

North Cyprus Postal Stationery

Last Wednesday 20 February we took a short visit over the UN controlled buffer zone in Nicosia through to the north side to collect some of the more recent Turkish Cyprus stamp issues.

While there, we came across this set of 5 (five) pre-paid postcards which we hadn't seen previously. The price on each postcard is 60 Kurus.

Planning a visit to the Cyprus Postal Museum

I have some time off at the end of the week and early next week as my parents are coming to the end of their month long holiday in Cyprus so I want to spend some time with them before they fly back to the UK.

We plan to take a trip to Nicosia, hopefully on Friday 25th November and would like to pay a visit to the Cyprus Postal Museum on Ayios Savva Street in Nicosia.

We believe it's fairly close to Ledra Street where we usually park so I'm looking forward to that and my camera will be coming too! Watch this space for photos over the weekend...

While we are in Nicosia we will be crossing the UN green line into the north of the island and hope to collect the more recent north Cyprus stamp issues from 2011.

NEW - 2010 Turkish Cypriot (North Cyprus) stamps available to buy online

We took a quick trip over the green line last weekend and managed to get hold of some later issues from 2010 North Cyprus stamps.


These include stamps and first day covers for: 2010 South Africa FIFA World Cup, 2010 Europe "Children's Books" (stamps, covers and booklets) and 2010 World Environment Day (Seagulls / birds on stamps).
